Connect NZ live snmp monitor is a small application installed on a Windows operating system (all 32 bit versions compatible) that is connected to your network and to the internet. This application reports back to Connect NZ live monitoring server located in our Auckland data centre via a web service. The communication traffic is transported over the normal web port 80 that you use for browsing the internet, ensuring that no security issues arise on your network. Your firewall ports do not need to be edited. Connect NZ live monitoring can be configured to report back to our server at different time intervals, by default this is set to once every 15 minutes. This can range from 1 minute to 999 minutes by request. The typical transfer of data is less that 5kb.

The benefits of Connect NZ live monitor are vast. With this product installed and subsequently linked to your devices we are able to monitor detailed information regarding your device. One immediate benefit is that Connect NZ can supply your printer / copier toner direct to you before you need it. This has significant savings as it avoids having to over purchase toner and parts for your printer. We are also able to report back to you showing your copies used. You will not need to phone or fax in your printer meter readings for copier readings.
